Robinson posted from his social media that the surgery went well, which is always a good sign. Washington drafted Robinson in the 3rd round (98th overall pick) in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was the 2nd player selected by Washington from Alabama in this year’s draft.
The Alabama product had 1,343 yards rushing in his final season in Tuscaloosa and was the team’s leading rusher. Robinson was projected to be the number one running back a day before the incident, according to Keim.
Washington only accounted for 13 rushing touchdowns last season. With Robinson out, Washington will turn back to Antonio Gibson as its starting running back.
