Younger brother of former Iowa QB C.J. Beathard stabbed to death

Horrifying news came out Saturday afternoon as the brother of former Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard was stabbed to death early Saturday outside of a bar in Nashville.
Clayton Beathard, 22 and brother of C.J., was one of two men stabbed to death.

Beathard played football at Long Island University and Battle Ground Academy.

“The fatal stabbings appear to have resulted from an argument over a woman that began inside Dogwood Bar and then turned physical when the parties went outside,” MNPD wrote in a press release after the incident. “Multiple persons were involved in the outdoor fight during which the two men were both fatally stabbed in their sides. A third stabbing victim, a 21-year-old man, was treated and released.”
An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
