Michigan and Ohio State have dominated the national airwaves in the offseason when it comes to Big Ten supremacy.
However, the Freaks list from The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman is a prime example of why Penn State shouldn’t be slept on.
The list is littered with Nittany Lions such as running back Nick Singleton, offensive lineman Olumuyiwa Fashanu, defensive end Chop Robinson, and linebacker Abdul Carter.
The great @BruceFeldmanCFB joins to talk about his Freaks list. He explains why having so many freaky athletes might make Penn State a Big Ten title contender.

The 6-foot, 224-pound Singleton rushed for 1,061 yards and 12 touchdowns last season as a freshman.
“The guy people compare him to is Adrian Peterson,” Feldman said. “That is a heavy duty guy to be compared to in terms of just super freak athlete.”
The imposing 6-foot-6, 320-pound Fashanu reached his stature despite both of his parents not being taller than 5-foot-8.
“People are talking about he’s the best O-line prospect in the country,” Feldman said.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Carter racked up 6.5 sacks last season during his freshman campaign.
Feldman had to restrain himself from adding even more Penn State players to his list.
“It’s a ridiculous haul they have there…, ” Feldman said. “I can’t have 9 guys from Penn State. It’s just ridiculous how much talent they have and explosive athletes.”
With recent NFL standouts such as Saquon Barkley and Micah Parsons, there’s a vaunted lineage of Penn State freaks.
“People are going to scoff that these numbers can’t be real. This school in particular, Penn State, we’ve seen it time and time again,” Feldman said. “These guys put up ridiculous times when we had them on the freaks list. Then when they went to the combine or the Pro Day, they match them or exceed them.”
