The 2019 season isn’t even technically over yet. Clemson and LSU still have to meet up Monday night to decide the national champion.

But, regardless of that outcome, it doesn’t mean anything for the 2020 season. After all, there will be (and already have been) coaching changes, hires and fires, recruits signing, backing out of commitments, transferring, you name it.

So, before the national title has even been played for 2019, Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports and TheAthletic.com put together his top 10. Alongside his top 10, Joel Klatt, Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer give their teams to watch:

Feldman likes Ohio State a lot and isn’t exactly down on Penn State coming in at No. 7. Leinart pointed toward Texas A&M, Meyer mentioned Florida and Klatt gave a deeper look at quarterbacks at Penn State and Texas.

It isn’t just Feldman projecting what 2020 could look like, either.

Sporting News Top 25

Sporting News’ Bill Bender laid out his top 25 for next year as well:

  1. Clemson
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. LSU
  5. Georgia
  6. Oregon
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Notre Dame
  9. Penn State
  10. Florida
  11. Auburn
  12. Minnesota
  13. Texas
  14. Wisconsin
  15. Michigan
  16. Texas A&M
  17. Oklahoma State
  18. Utah
  19. Louisville
  20. Cincinnati
  21. North Carolina
  22. Arizona State
  23. Virginia
  24. UCF
  25. Boise State

Bender doesn’t see loads of depth in the Big Ten next season, but he does have five B1G teams within his top 15. Needless to say, we can’t wait to see these teams get on the field once again.
