It also brings some colossal matchups this month on the hardwood. The conference slate is loaded with brand-name opponents as we kick off the season.

At the top of the list pins North Carolina against Indiana in Bloomington. The Tar Heels come into the season ranked as the No. 1 team in the Associated Press Top 25. North Carolina returns much of its production from last year led by Armando Bacot, R.J. Davis, and Caleb Love.
The Hoosiers are ranked 13th in the initial poll. Indiana returns leading scorer and rebounder Trayce Jackson-Davis (18.3 ppg/8.1 rpg) from last season. Newcomer Malik Reneau could have a big impact on the team. The 6-foot-9 forward was a high-level recruit out of Miami.
Two other matchups to watch are Michigan State’s bouts against Gonzaga and Kentucky. The Spartans game against Gonzaga will be played on an aircraft carrier in San Diego. Michigan State is not ranked in the preseason poll. A win over No.2 Gonzaga could change that quickly
