Over the past two weeks, Big Ten Network has talked at length about B1G quarterbacks heading into the 2017 season. And yet, the network still hadn’t addressed one of the more interesting topics until recently.
Rick Pizzo sat down with BTN analyst and former Minnesota head coach Glen Mason to talk about four B1G quarterbacks on the rise heading into the fall.
His list?
Chayce Crouch (Illinois), Nathan Stanley (Iowa), Brian Lewerke (Michigan St.), and Alex Hornibrook (Wisconsin).
As you’ll see, Mason is extremely high on Crouch:

Crouch saw limited action last year, stepping in for Wes Lunt when the senior gunslinger was injured. But Crouch missed the final six games with an injury of his own.
Head coach Lovie Smith has already expressed faith in the Illinois quarterback, saying the Crouch was the team’s No. 1 guy.
Last year, he completed 18-of-32 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown in four games. He added 176 yards on the ground. He made his first career start against Rutgers.
