It’s not often that Ohio State is the underdog in a football game. Ohio State will be the underdog when the Buckeyes take on Georgia in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Ohio State has had an interesting route to the CFP this season. After losing to Michigan, the Buckeyes CFP chances were slim, but some luck helped it reach the CFP.

Big Ten Network’s Joshua Perry broke down some of the problems that Ohio State could face against Georgia.

He mentioned that being the underdog in the game means that the Buckeyes will have a different mindset going into the game. He believes that Ohio State will take being an underdog to heart and use it to the team’s advantage.

“As talented as we were and what we knew we could be at our high end, we always took exception to the fact that anybody would call us an underdog,” Perry said. “I think that there is a way to leverage that mentality as they prepare for this one.”

The Buckeyes and Bulldogs face off on Dec. 31 in the Peach Bowl at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
