The Big Ten Network is out for its annual bus tour across the B1G. Already, the crew has made stops at Nebraska and Northwestern, the two programs facing off in Week 0 in Dublin.
On Saturday, the crew stopped by Illinois who will also hit the field in Week 0. Bret Bielema and the Illini start the 2022 season on Aug. 27 against Wyoming.
Among the things mentioned, BTN analyst and host Dave Revsine noticed the play of QB Tommy DeVito. In the fall camp battle between DeVito and Artur Sitkowski, it looks like DeVito left the bigger impression on Revsine.
He called DeVito “a really good fit” for the Illini and noted a “solid” offense. That unit will also feature Chase Brown and Josh McCray in the backfield and Isaiah Williams at wideout.
Liked watching Tommy DeVito today – feels like a really good fit in Champaign. Offense is solid – 2 very good backs and a few talented WR’s. pic.twitter.com/X76HLvXO0E

No announcement has been made on the QB battle, but DeVito did throw for 3,866 yards and 28 touchdowns during his career at Syracuse. We’ll see if that experience translates into landing the starting job in Champaign.
