Everyone is getting their preseason predictions in.
It’s the nature of being a college football fan or working in the media. We can’t help but spew a few of our hot takes and make bold predictions. It’s just what we do.
BTN.com senior editor Brent Yarina made a few of his bold predictions public on Twitter, giving fans something to discuss as we wait two weeks until the season kicks off. He made seven predictions, some of them bold, some of them pretty vague.
Halfway through week, here are 7 #B1G predictions:
1. UW wins West by multiple games.
2. Team w “State” in name wins East.
3. Fant leads B1G in TD catches
4. B1G champ makes CFP (last 2 haven’t).
5. DPJ houses multiple punts.
6. IU beats someone it shouldn’t.
7. Brohm wins COY.— Brent Yarina (@BTNBrentYarina) August 15, 2018
Wisconsin winning the B1G West seems to be a consensus pick, but Yarina wasn’t willing to make a pick in the East. He’s determined that Michigan State, Ohio State or Penn State will come out of the division.
He also expects Iowa tight end Noah Fant and Michigan receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones to have big seasons. Yarina is predicting Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm will win the Coach of the Year Award.
So, what do you think of those predictions?
