The Hoosiers will face Western Kentucky at noon. Indiana is off to a strong 2-0 start with one of those victories coming against Illinois. The Hoosiers won just two games in 2021 and went winless in B1G conference play.
Indiana has received strong starts from its playmakers. Running back Shaun Shivers has carried the ball 35 times for 183 yards (5.2 ypc) and 2 touchdowns. Wide receiver Cam Camper has 15 receptions for 199 yards while D.J. Matthews has caught 10 balls for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns. Quarterback Connor Bazelak has managed to throw for 527 yards and 3 touchdowns to 2 interceptions.
Indiana will look to get by Western Kentucky before a big road test against Cincinnati. The Hoosiers then face troubled Nebraska in Lincoln.
I’m sure Tom Allen would like to get some momentum for their next two road games. Hopefully, the fans will come out early to support Indiana as it looks to improve to 3-0.
