Ohio State has a high-powered offense.
In recent years, the Buckeyes could break through in any given week and score 40 or 50 on a team. But this year, it’s happening regularly. You can thank QB Dwayne Haskins for part of that.
In Week 1, Ohio State dropped 77 points on Oregon State. Then, 52 against Rutgers. OK, enough with the easier schools — no offense to the Beavers or Scarlet Knights.
How about against No. 17 TCU in Texas? Ohio State put 40 on them as well.
To this point, the Buckeyes have scored 169 points in 3 weeks. That’s impressive. What’s even more impressive is that Ohio State could break the all-time B1G record for most points scored through the first 4 weeks of a season.
All the team has to do is score 60 against Tulane on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Ohio Stadium and the game will be televised on BTN.
If the Buckeyes could score 77 on Oregon State, 60 is certainly possible against Tulane. Especially considering it will be Urban Meyer’s first game back on the sidelines.
He may want to give a little extra show for the fans at Ohio Stadium.
BTN talked about Ohio State’s chances at getting to 60 and Chuck Long believes it will indeed happen:
