As we are solidly into the latter half of the 2021 B1G football season, there are some pretty interesting matchups left on the schedule. B1G Network analyst Joshua Perry has a few games he’s particularly looking forward to seeing.

Perry is looking to this weekend’s showdown of the unbeatens between No. 6 Michigan and No 8 Michigan State and No. 9 Iowa heading to Madison to take on Wisconsin as games on his list.

The Hawkeyes need a win to stay near the top of the B1G West. The game with Wisconsin looks to be an old-school ground battle, so anything can happen.

Of course, the showdown in East Lansing between the Wolverines and Spartans is always a good game to watch, even if they both come in with losing records. With both ranked in the top-10 and unbeaten, there’s not much to explain there.

Perry’s list also looks at a trio of November games to watch.

The second weekend in November features a rising Minnesota team heading to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes in the annual battle for the Floyd of Rosedale Trophy on Nov. 13. The rivalry game could end up being a battle for the top spot in the B1G West.

In the second to last game of the regular season for both teams, Perry is watching the matchup between Michigan State and Ohio State on Nov. 20. Both teams are playing really well, and have obstacles in their way before they meet. But it could boil down to be a game with big implications on the standings.

Finally, a game that is always circled on a host of schedules every season is Ohio State- Michigan. This season the showdown will be held at the Big House in Ann Arbor and is Perry’s top game to watch. Depending upon how the games in the prior weeks play out, the game could be determining a B1G champion.
