Ohio State football finally got its own verified Twitter account

Welcome to the 21st century, Ohio State football.
Ok, the Buckeyes do a lot of things that are ahead of the curve. But up until Saturday, they didn’t have an official, football-only Twitter account.
They are now part of the fun. Here was their first tweet from the new @OhioStateFB account:

It’s odd that it took so long for the team to get an official Twitter account. Ohio State was the last B1G team to get an official account. The Buckeyes have been on Instagram for a while now, and are quite active on it.
Before, all of the program’s tweets were from the official Ohio State athletics account, which has over 264,000 followers. At the time of this posting, the @OhioStateFB account is up to 5,000 followers.
Something tells me that’ll change in a hurry.
