Ajani Cornelius was a player that Ohio State was hoping to earn a commitment from on Early Signing Day. That was not the case.
Cornelius eventually committed to Oregon on Wednesday after visiting with the Ducks. Cornelius visited with the Buckeyes on Dec. 17. Tennessee and Nebraska were two other schools that Cornelius toured recently.

Cornelius comes to Oregon from Rhode Island. This season Cornelius started all 11 of the games he played in at right tackle. He also earned First Team All-CAA honors.
Coming in at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds Oregon will definitely put his size to good use on its offensive line.
Ohio State has the fifth overall recruiting class in the 2023 cycle, according to 247Sports. However, the Buckeyes have just one 3-star OT commit in their class. Ryan Day may need to look into the transfer portal once again to find another OT now that Cornelius has committed to Oregon.
