There was a time earlier this offseason when depth at the quarterback position was a major concern for Ohio State. All of that has changed in about a month, though.
On Sunday afternoon, former Texas A&M quarterback Jagger LaRoe announced that he would be continuing his career at Ohio State. He spent just one year with the Aggies and did not see any playing time.

LaRoe was a walk-on quarterback at Texas A&M and, under new guidelines from the NCAA, will be immediately eligible to participate when he arrives in Columbus. He will also have four years of eligibility left, as he didn’t see the field in 2018.
With LaRoe’s decision to transfer, four of the Buckeyes’ six quarterbacks are transfers. Justin Fields transferred from Georgia after last fall and Gunner Hoak left Kentucky to join Ohio State. Former West Virginia quarterback Chris Chugunov transferred before the 2018 season.
LaRoe is a native of Texas and is a pro-style quarterback. He threw for over 3,000 yards in his senior year in high school.
