Micah Hyde joined the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ to talk about the recent surge of NFL prospects that have come from Iowa. He thinks that Iowa has turned itself into an ‘NFL program’.

Hyde played at Iowa from 2009 to 2012. His NFL career started when he was taken in the 5th round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He played at Green Bay until 2017 before becoming a member of the Buffalo Bills. Hyde was a 1st-team All-B1G selection during his senior year with the Hawkeyes.

Here’s what he had to say about the level of talent that keeps coming out of Iowa:

“I think that Iowa is an NFL program,” said Hyde. “I had Coach Ferentz and Coach Parker, who was my position coach back then. So I saw him all day every day. They get you ready for the NFL. They understand the process of putting on weight, and getting better and better each year. Going to Iowa was definitely a cheat code. That’s why they produce so many NFL players because Coach Ferentz gets you ready.”
