C.J. Stroud is taking responsibility for his team. After Saturday’s 35-28 loss to Oregon, the Ohio State quarterback said it’s on him to rally the troops and get the squad to bounce back.
Stroud threw 54 passes on Saturday, completing 35 for 484 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. His effort wasn’t enough, as the Buckeyes dropped their first regular season game of the Ryan Day era.
According to Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors, Stroud said he needs to make sure the Buckeyes bounce back quickly and have a strong week of practice ahead of next weekend.

Ohio State had an incredibly difficult schedule in the first two weeks of the season. The Buckeyes traveled to Minnesota in the opener before hosting No. 12 Oregon Saturday. But with expectations set at a national championship, the loss was a big surprise.
Stroud and the Buckeyes will get to play an easier schedule over the next two weeks. They’ll host Tulsa and Akron before jumping back into league play against Rutgers.
