Cade McNamara extends Michigan lead with second TD pass vs. MSU

Anyone expecting a low scoring game between No. 6 Michigan and No. 8 Michigan State is going to be disappointed. Just a little over halfway into the third period of Saturday’s rivalry matchup, the Wolverines hit the 30-point mark.
On a 3rd-and-8 play from the Spartans 19-yard line, Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara hit Mike Sainristil to put Michigan up 30-14.

The Wolverines had already found the end zone twice on the day, with wide receiver Andrel Anthony on the other end of passes from both McNamara and JJ McCarthy. A pair of Jake Moody field goals accounted for the other Wolverines points.
On the Spartans side, Kenneth Walker III accounted for all the scoring with a trio of touchdowns, including a 1-yard run that followed the Sainristil TD to move the score to 30-22, after a successful 2-point conversion by the Spartans.
