Cade McNamara may not be at Michigan anymore, but that doesn’t mean that his relationships with his former teammates aren’t still there. Some previous Michigan teammates of his had some kind words to say about him at B1G Media Days per 247Sports’ David Eickholt.
McNamara received compliments from DB Mike Sainristil and Blake Corum. Sainristil’s commitment to the Wolverines had a lot to do with McNamara.
“Cade’s a guy you can lean on. Cade’s a guy that rubs off on you. Honestly, the leader I am definitely comes from Cade,” he said. “Like, I was around Cade a lot, I definitely picked up on some of his traits. Cade’s the guy that came in with a lot of confidence. You know, I came to Michigan because of Cade, he was probably 95% of the reason I came to Michigan. Well, 85. Of course the coaches, the culture, everything like that. But Cade is a huge reason why I came to Michigan.”
Corum made sure to wish McNamara the best of luck for the 2023 season. Corum noted how much of a competitor McNamara was at Michigan.
“I always wish him the best of luck wherever he is. And I hope he has a great season. And, you know, hopefully, we can see each other again right here in the stadium. During workouts, like so Cade is a super, super hard competitor. But during workouts, we have like different challenges and you’re trying to beat everybody.”
In his time at Michigan, McNamara had 3,181 yards passing with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
Michigan and Iowa don’t play each other during the regular season in 2023. If the two do meet, it would have to be at the B1G Championship game.
It’s nice to see that the players are still keeping their relationships alive.
