Cam Chick punctuates eight-run frame for Nebraska with inside-the-park HR

Nebraska has poured on a huge lead against NJIT, inching closer and closer to a rematch with top overall seed Arkansas.
Early on, it was the work of leadoff hitter Joe Acker that got the ball rolling for the Huskers. Acker started the game with a triple and scored the first run of the afternoon before adding a solo home run. So far, Acker has gone 4-for-4 with four runs scored and a walk on the afternoon.
One of Acker’s hits was an RBI single during the fourth when Nebraska really began to find a groove. In that frame, the Huskers poured on eight runs on seven hits.
Cameron Chick provided the exclamation point to the eight-run frame with a three-run homer. What made that home run even more impressive is the fact that it came as an inside-the-park knock.

Nebraska followed up the eight-run frame with a six-run fifth inning to run the lead to 16-1. The Huskers look well on their way to a rematch with the Razorbacks, though it will take two wins against Arkansas to advance out of the Fayetteville Regional.
