Dan Mullen finally had enough, the Florida head coach ripping into defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Mullen, however, might want to save his rage for the other side of the ball
With Florida’s offense struggling against Kentucky, Mullen chose to go after the team’s defensive coordinator late in the first half. Kentucky had just 175 yards of total offense but they managed 12 first downs in the first half and had a staggering 23:23 of possession.
I’m surprised at how uncomfortable I was watching Todd Grantham get his ass chewed by Florida Coach Dan Mullen. pic.twitter.com/vVGvAybm3W

Florida held a 14-10 lead going into halftime.
It was an undeniably poor start from Florida’s star-laden defense against a Kentucky offense that simply hasn’t been that good this year.
But it is the poor play of the offense that is as much the storyline for the Gators at halftime as is Mullen’s outburst at the defense.
Florida struggled to move the ball, their offense managing just 175 yards. They had just six first downs in the opening two quarters and had a hard time sustaining drives, going just 1-for-4 on third down conversions. There was also a turnover and the fact that they had just 6:37 in possession.
For a 6-1 team ranked sixth in the country and with a Heisman contender at quarterback, it was unexpected to see the Gators offense struggle so much. Especially against a 3-5 Kentucky team that lost 63-3 the week earlier to Alabama.
