Cyril Martynov was born in Canada, but currently plays for The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. If the name sounds familiar, it’s the same prep program that produced 2-time NBA All-Star Joakim Noah.

The 6-foot, 11-inch center originally was a member of the class of 2023. But his college career will begin a year earlier than planned, as he is set to reclassify to the class of 2022, per 336Edits.

Martynov also revealed his top 4 schools and his decision date. Two B1G programs—Northwestern and Wisconsin—made the cut, along with Georgia Tech and Missouri. He is set to announce his commitment on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats look to add to a 2022 recruiting class that already includes Massachusetts power forward Luke Hunger and UTEP transfer PF Tydus Verhoeven. The Badgers, meanwhile, have signed Indiana shooting guard Connor Essegian, while acquiring former Wofford shooting guard Max Klesmit and ex-Wisconsin point guard Kamari McGee via the portal.
