Duron Carter was inevitably looking at a more serious punishment.
Last week, the ex-Ohio State receiver bumped into Ottawa coach Rick Campbell after a touchdown during a Canadian Football League. A melee ensued and Carter was promptly ejected.

As a result, Carter was suspended one game by the CFL. He’ll be inactive when the Montreal Alouettes take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He was also fined an undisclosed amount.
Surprisingly, Carter played innocent in the matter.
“To tell the truth, I don’t even know what happened,” Carter said after the game, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Company. “I ran into the coach, apparently. I didn’t even know I knocked him over. It’s an emotional game. I’m excited. I got hit. I got a cut on my face from that hit. You tell me.”
Carter only spent a year with the Buckeyes but was academically ineligible after his freshman season. He went to four different schools and battled academic issues for much of his college career.
