Casey Thompson has looked stout at the head of Nebraska’s offense. The former Texas signal caller led a pair of touchdown drives in his first action as a Husker.

His first score of the day capped off a beautiful drive to start. The Huskers drove the field before Thompson completed this ball to Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda for six.

Thompson kept it and did it himself for his second score of the day.

As it does with everything, social media reacted to Thompson’s hot start Saturday afternoon against the Wildcats. Despite Thompson’s strong play, the Nebraska defense has looked less than stellar so far. At the half, the Huskers trail Northwestern 17-14.
