CBS Sports’ Adam Finkelstein talked about the players he likes from the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament. He declared Trayce Jackson-Davis as the best player from the Midwest Region on Tuesday.

Jackson-Davis averages 20.8 points, 10.9, and 4.1 assists per game for Indiana. He has played in 30 games for the Hoosiers this season and is a tough player to slow down.

“The best player college player in the Midwest Region is Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis. He went on a run through the midpoint of the season where he took his game to a totally different level. He’s strong, he’s athletic. I mean some of his highlights in terms of dunks and explosive finishes are absolutely off the charts. What’s he been able to do on the defensive end, that’s been really impressive to me. In my mind, he is the best player in that Midwest Region.”

Indiana will need Jackson-Davis to be at his best for its NCAA Tournament run. The Hoosiers were a First Four NCAA Tournament team last season and lost to St. Mary’s in the 1st Round.

Indiana is now a No. 4 seed and will be facing No. 13 Kent State on Friday. Hoosier fans can tune into that game at 9:55 p.m. ET on TBS.
