CBS Sports’ Aaron Taylor put Penn State on upset alert for Week 10.

On a special Halloween edition of CBS Sports, Taylor thought that Maryland could cause Penn State some problems on the road. Taylor noted how Drew Allar hasn’t played well on the road this season, which could play into the Terrapins’ favor.

The last time that Allar and the Nittany Lions went on the road was against Ohio State. That game ended 20-12 as Allar went 18-of-42 for 191 yards passing and 1 touchdown as the offense was stifled all game.

Taylor noted how Allar’s completion percentage and yards per attempt have been typically lower on the road.

“Penn State’s Drew Allar doesn’t play real well on the road, completing under 50% of his passes and less than 5.5 yards per attempt. He does have 2 touchdowns, no interceptions, but come on they’re on the road,” said Taylor. “I know Maryland hasn’t beaten a ranked B1G team in like 30 something games, but it’s gonna have to happen sometime and it happens this weekend.”

The last time that Penn State lost to Maryland was the 2020 season. Taulia Tagovailoa carved up the Penn State secondary for 282 yards in the loss.

A loss to Maryland would effectively knock Penn State out of the B1G title race. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
