CBS Sports includes 5 B1G stars as first-round picks in latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft

The race to the 2022 NBA Draft is heating up. Across the country, players continue to determine whether to remain in the draft or return to school for another year.

On Tuesday, the order for the draft lottery was established. When the dust settled, the Orlando Magic came out on top with the No. 1 overall pick. They were followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets.

According to most sources, Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren, Auburn’s Jabari Smith and Duke’s Paolo Banchero are considered the candidates for the top pick in the draft. Most sources also have Iowa’s Keegan Murray, Purdue’s Jaden Ivey and Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis as lottery picks.

On Wednesday, Gary Parrish with CBS Sports updated his mock for this year’s draft now that the lottery order is established. Parrish had 5 B1G stars as first-round picks:

  • No. 4 Sacramento Kings – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue
  • No. 5 Detroit Pistons – Keegan Murray, F, Iowa
  • No. 8 New Orleans Pelicans – Johnny Davis, SF, Wisconsin
  • No. 14 Cleveland Cavaliers – Malaki Branham, SF, Ohio State
  • No. 23 Brooklyn Nets – E.J. Liddell, F, Ohio State
