No. 10 Penn State going on the road to face No. 5 Michigan was one of the top games of Week 7 as one of six ranked vs. ranked matchups and one of two matchups between top 10 teams. Penn State took a 19-16 lead early in the third quarter, but Michigan accounted for 25 unanswered points.
The aftermath left a bad taste in the mouths of many fans and college football analysts, including the Volume’s Aaron Murray and T-Bob Herbert.
Murray talked about the terrible loss from Penn State:
“You want to talk about getting out-physicalled at the line of scrimmage? Absolutely embarrassing what Michigan was able to do running the football,” Murray said. “418, not total yards, rushing yards given up by Penn State. They got embarrassed, their offense was embarrassing to watch, their defense, defensive line was playing pitiful.”
Penn State (5-1; 2-1 in B1G play) will look to rebound in Week 8 in a home game against Minnesota (4-2; 1-2).
