With Indiana off to a 4-0 start, some are starting to speculate if he might take an opportunity to look for a bigger job.

Michigan could be an option as Jim Harbaugh’s seat gets hotter in Ann Arbor. Harbaugh is 1-3 this year and has only one year remaining on his contract.

However, Banner Society’s Steven Godfrey — who specializes in coaching searches — doesn’t see a fit between Allen and Michigan.

“He’s not a Michigan man He just isn’t. If we’re beating around that bush, I don’t see that at all,” Godfrey said on the Split Zone Duo podcast on Thursday. “I think the people around him would be wise enough to show him, ‘Hey Tom, the way in which you achieved success … is not going to be tolerated at Michigan.”

That should put an end to that little speculation and Allen is also fresh off signing a massive extension with the Hoosiers too. In December of 2019, he signed a seven-year contract and he’s going to be making $3.9M per season.

Indiana beat Michigan 38-21 earlier this season.

The Hoosiers travel to Ohio State this weekend in a game that could decide the Big Ten East champion.
