CFB team officially switches bowls due to impacts of COVID-19

COVID-19 has already turned Bowl Season on its head. However, one bowl game has been salvaged – for now.
After Miami withdrew from the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl on Sunday evening, the scramble was on to find a replacement team for Washington State. A replacement became available Monday when Boise State withdrew from the Arizona Bowl due to COVID issues with the Broncos.
Boise State’s withdrawal from the Arizona Bowl left Central Michigan also searching for an opponent in Bowl Season. After some quick work to iron out the details, Central Michigan is now on its way to the Sun Bowl to face Washington State.
The move was announced Monday night with Friday’s kickoff set for 10 am local time:
