Champaign listed as one of Top 10 college towns

If you’re looking for one of the best college towns in America, look no further than Champaign-Urbana.
Recently, Livability.com named the best college towns of 2018, ranking the top 10. Only one B1G town made the list, which was Champaign-Urbana, home of the University of Illinois.
The city was ranked No. 7.
Livability.com pointed to the city’s location, the small-town feel with major activities, and the availability of job opportunities for students. From the website:
Champaign is conveniently located near three major U.S. cities (and their airports) — Chicago to the north, St. Louis to the southwest and Indianapolis to the east — so residents (and employers) can get anywhere in the world with relative ease. But beyond that, Champaign has a delicious dining scene, an awesome farmers market and tons of outdoor recreation options, making it an ideal place for anyone to live.
Very enticing, isn’t it?
The University of Illinois was the only campus from the B1G to receive any love from Livability.com. The top-ranked college town for 2018 was Ithaca, New York, home to Cornell University and Ithaca College.
