There may be some trouble on the horizon for UCLA. Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff mentioned that there could be some roadblocks in the way for the Bruins’ path to the B1G according to Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger.

UCLA is still going to be joining USC and leaving the Pac-12 in 2024 as it stands, however there are members on the UC Board of Regents who are asking the decision to be reviewed. This could cause problems for UCLA if it backfires.

“I’d say UCLA is in a difficult position,” said Kliavkoff. “A lot of constituents are very, very unhappy with the decision.”

While Kliavkoff gave his thoughts on the UCLA issue, he isn’t against bringing them back into the conference if their plans go south. If that’s the case, then the commissioner stated that he will welcome them back with open arms.

“I think it is unlikely,” said Kliavkoff. “But if they come back, we welcome them back.”
