Chase Brown has been getting some interest from people associated with the Heisman Trophy. Bret Bielema confirmed it at Monday’s press conference.

Bielema said that there have been requests for videos and information about Brown recently. The last time that a player from the B1G won the award was Troy Smith in 2006 for Ohio State.

Bielema wants Brown to be up for the Heisman and every other award in the hopes that the running back will be taking home some hardware at the end of the year.

“Chase Brown for Heisman and every other award, I’d scream it as loud as I can,” said Bielema.

It’s hard to ignore the kind of year that Brown is having. Brown has 1,208 yards rushing through eight games, which leads the country and B1G.

Many people are starting to take notice around the country.

Illinois is bowl eligible with four games left in the season. The Fighting Illini have to face Michigan State, Purdue, Michigan, and Northwestern to end the year.

We’ll see if Brown can continue has dominant season on the ground. Michigan State-Illinois kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
