Brown has been carrying the Illinois offense against Charlotte, rushing for 124 yards on 16 attempts and finding the end zone once. He’s had some impressive runs by breaking tackles and carrying a pile of defenders a few yards.
It’s the type of game Illinois needs, especially after trailing the 49ers 14-10 at halftime. The passing game hasn’t been great for the Illini, so they’ll likely have to beat Charlotte on the ground. So far in the second half, it’s working out. But there’s a lot of football left.
Illinois and Charlotte are currently facing off on the B1G Network.
