Chase Brown didn’t waste any time getting Illinois on the board in Champaign. He found the end zone on the Fighting Illini’s first drive of the game.
Brown caught a pass from Tommy DeVito, who left the Iowa game injured in Week 6. Brown managed to carry the load and finished the game with 146 yards rushing in a 9-6 win.
DeVito hit Brown in the flat, and he took it for 40 yards to the house.
The Illinois rushing game has been led by Brown this season. Coming into the game Brown had 879 yards rushing, and he’s proving that can make plays catching passes too.

As one of the nation’s top rushers Brown is showing that he can make plays week in and week out.
This game could have a big impact on who takes home the B1G West title. Both Minnesota and Illinois had one loss heading into the matchup. The game is currently being broadcast on BTN.
