Chase Young adds Herbie for Defensive Player of the Year to growing awards collection

Chase Young can add another award to his trophy case for this season!

The superstar defensive end for the Buckeyes already has a lengthy list of trophies and accomplishments. Young is already the single-season sacks leader in Ohio State history and has captured the B1G Defensive Player of the Year, Bronco Nagurski Trophy, Ted Hendriks Award, and Chuck Bednarik Award in addition to being named a Heisman finalist.

On Sunday, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit also handed out an award to the junior defender. Herbstreit unveiled his 2019 “Herbie Awards” with the Defensive Player of the Year going out to Young:

Young really has been special this season, and now he will get a chance to try and bring home a national title to Columbus. Ohio State will take on Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 28.
