On Thursday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that Young signed his rookie contract after being selected by Washington with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. And the former Buckeye will be seeing quite a bit of money after signing on the dotted line.
Young’s rookie contract is a 4-year, $34.56 million deal. He will receive just under $22.7 million in a signing bonus, all of which the former Ohio State star will see up front.

Young was considered to be the most talented prospect in this year’s draft class and was even thought to be the potential No. 1 overall pick. However, due to Cincinnati’s need for a quarterback, LSU star and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow was taken with the top selection.
Last season at Ohio State, Young racked up 16.5 sacks, forced 6 fumbles, broke up 3 passes and blocked a kick. He also collected a total of 46 stops, 21 of which were for loss.
Young is a preseason favorite to win the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.
