Chris Autman-Bell recently revealed his plans for the 2023 football season.
According to Ryan Burns of 247Sports, Autman-Bell will return for his 7th season as a Golden Gopher in 2023. Autman-Bell was able to obtain a medical redshirt for the 2022 season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 3.
Burns reported the news straight from the source with Autman-Bell sharing the news Thursday evening:
I can confirm that #Gophers WR @chrisautmanbell will be returning for a seventh season in 2023, as he just confirmed it to me here at the @ChairTrophy event tonight. He’ll be getting his medical redshirt.
He also confirmed that he tore his ACL in the non-conference.

Autman-Bell was academically redshirted in 2017, obtained an extra year of eligibilty due to COVID-19, and will be medicaly redshirted for the 2022 season.
Autman-Bell was the leading receiver for the Gophers at the time of his injury, collecting 11 catches for 214 yards and 1 TD before being lost for the season. Autman-Bell is currently 9th all-time in receiving yards for the Golden Gophers.
Autman-Bell will get a chance to move up in the Minnesota record books in 2023.
