Beard famously left Texas Tech for the more attractive Texas program at the start of last season. He has a 29-13 record with the Longhorns so far across his season and a half.
Texas is currently ranked No. 7 in the AP Poll and looks like one of the most complete squads in the country. However, the Longhorns were recently defeated by Illinois, 85-78 for their only loss on the season.
