Few things at Ohio State compare to beating Michigan. It’s the number one goal in essentially every sport in Columbus.
So, when the Buckeyes defeated the Wolverines in men’s basketball on Sunday afternoon, there was no shortage of celebration. Ohio State knocked off Michigan 77-63 in Columbus, marking a season sweep for the Bucks. They also defeated Michigan 61-58 in Ann Arbor in early February.
Ohio State also defeated Michigan on the football field 56-27 in November. That means the Buckeyes swept the football and men’s basketball series for the 2019-20 academic year. It was the eighth-straight win for the football team.
After the Buckeyes got the season sweep, Chris Holtmann and Ryan Day had a moment to celebrate:

Ohio State’s basketball team improved to 20-9 on the season with the victory and is 10-8 in B1G play with two conference games remaining. They’ve won three-straight games.
None of them compare to the two wins over Michigan, though.
