Chris Holtmann believes that after Ohio State fell to Purdue 66-80 in the B1G Tournament on Saturday, the Buckeyes could be done for the season.

After the Big Ten Tournament loss, Holtmann was asked if the Buckeyes would want to play in the NIT or another postseason tournament. Instead of a yes or no, Holtmann stated that “several Buckeyes are dealing with injuries that aren’t public.”

Standout freshman Brice Sensabaugh was sidelined the past 2 tournament games for knee soreness, and he joined starting center Zed Key, who was on the bench after shoulder surgery earlier this week. But, it sounds as though injuries on the team may go a bit deeper.

Although the season may be over for Ohio State, it was a great run for the Buckeyes. With the 13th seed, the Buckeyes became the lowest seed to ever reach the semifinal round, and won the first three games of the tournament.
