Chris Olave arrest: Police footage released after former Ohio State WR pulled over

Chris Olave recently made the wrong kind of headlines.
The former Ohio State standout, now with the New Orleans Saints, was arrested Monday in Louisiana. According to a TMZ report, Olave was clocked going 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was arrested by the Kenner Police Dept. and booked on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Olave was released by 11:30 p.m.
Olave hoped that his status as a Saints player would cut him slack. In a video circulating online, Olave is heard saying ““My bad dawg, I play for the Saints, man.” The arresting officer did not seem to care.

It’s the second recent speeding incident for Olave. In August, he was reportedly stopped for going 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.
A two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection, Olave is in his second professional season. He was drafted No. 11 overall by the Saints in 2022.
This season, Olave has played in 7 games, starting 5. He has recorded 39 catches for 471 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Saints are scheduled to play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
