Chris Olave elevates over defender for clutch TD grab

Extending the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes’ lead back to two-scores, a pair of sophomore classmates, Justin Fields and Chris Olave, hooked up for a 28-yard score early in the fourth quarter against the No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions.

The latest on a long list of highlight reel catches, Olave has established himself as one of the B1G’s best wide receivers in 2019.
Finishing as Ohio State’s second-leading receiver on Saturday with 44 yards, he has now totaled 38 receptions for 628 yards and 10 touchdowns in 11 games for the unblemished Buckeyes. The latter is tied with four players, including Baylor senior Denzel Mims, for 11th nationally.
Improving to 11-0, Ohio State held off a late push and defeated the Nittany Lions, 28-17. More than doubling Penn State’s rushing total, 230-108, junior J.K. Dobbins led the attack with 157 yards and two scores on 36 carries (4.3 AVG).
A very methodical performance, Fields completed 16-22 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. In addition to Olave, redshirt senior K.J. Hill found the end zone through the air. Catching a 24-yard touchdown in the third quarter, Hill paced the Buckeyes’ receivers with 46 yards on four receptions.
Making his return from a two-game suspension, junior defensive end Chase Young continued to build his case as the best player in America with three sacks and nine tackles. Now with 16.5 sacks in just nine games, Young broke Vernon Gholston’s program record for sacks in a single-season. Gholston had held the mark since his 14-sack campaign in 2007.
Looking to complete an undefeated regular season, Ohio State will travel to Ann Arbor to battle their archrival, the No. 13 Michigan Wolverines, on November 30 at 12:00PM ET on FOX.
