After sweating out a tight first half, the Ohio State offense exploded to put up 45 points in their win over Minnesota on Thursday night, with the Buckeyes heading back to Columbus with a 45-31 victory notched in their win column to open the season.
The Buckeyes offensive output was split between Miyan Williams, who rushed for 125 yards on 9 carries, and wide receiver Chris Olave, who pulled in 4 catches for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
On Monday, the Reese’s Senior Bowl announced their Offensive Player of the Week honor, tabbing Olave for his performance against the Gophers.
It's official. We have chosen @OhioStateFB WR @chrisolave_ as our Offensive Player of the Week for his performance vs. Minnesota. With 4 catches for 117 yards, 76 YARDS AFTER CATCH, and 2 TDs, he certainly deserves this honor. #GoBucks #TheDraftStartsInMOBILE pic.twitter.com/ugP4YRwDTW
