CJ Carr, 5-star QB and grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, sets commitment date

One of the top prospects nationally for the class of 2024 has already reached his decision on a college commitment.
C.J. Carr is a 5-star quarterback out of Saline, Michigan. The grandson of legendary Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, C.J. is ready to reveal his commitment.
According to Recruiting Director Steve Wiltfong with 247 Sports, Carr will reveal that commitment Thursday, June 9 at 7 pm ET. It’s also a decision Carr has been settled on for a while.
“I’ve known for awhile where I want to go,” Carr told 247Sports. “I’m excited to get this out there and start recruiting for that school.”
Carr has a group of 6 finalists that includes in-state options Michigan and Michigan State, along with Wisconsin out of the B1G. Notre Dame, Georgia and LSU round out his finalists.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 lbs., Carr is a 5-star prospect and the No. 5 QB nationally on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the top player out of Michigan for the class of 2024 and the No. 24 player nationally regardless of position.
