C.J. Dippre revealed his transfer destination on Tuesday via his Twitter account. Dippre played at Maryland this past season, recording 314 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns.
Dippre is heading to the school that Mike Locksley used to be an assistant at. That’s right, Dippre is transferring to Alabama.
Dippre announced the decision by posting a video of himself in an Alabama jersey. The decision comes after he entered the transfer portal on Nov. 30. Dippre played in all 12 games for Maryland in 2022.

Maryland will be playing in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl without Dippre. The Terps are facing N.C. State on Dec. 30.
Locksley led his team to another bowl game this season after finishing 7-5. This is the first time that Maryland has gone to two consecutive bowl games since 2013 and 2014.
Dippre will have a few more years of eligibility left considering 2022 was his second season with the Maryland program. It’ll be interesting to see how Nick Saban uses Dippre in the Crimson Tide offense.
