CJ Stroud completes first NFL pass in the most unusual way

CJ Stroud gave football fans an interesting twist on what could be a trivia question around his first pass completion in the NFL.
The former Ohio State star now with the Houston Texans took a deflected pass at the line of scrimmage and caught it himself. The catch gained 1 yard after the ball was batted into the air by Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith. Stroud on the next snap completed his first pass to a teammate, connecting with running back Dameon Pierce.

Stroud is a major building block for the Texans after he was the 2nd overall pick in this year’s draft. He now leads team that hasn’t had success at the position in the 2 seasons since Deshaun Watson sat out, and eventually landed in Cleveland.
