CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans are hanging on late against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers thanks to an Ohio State to Ohio State connection.

The former Buckeyes QB cut the Bucs 3rd quarter lead to just 3 with a monster throw to former Ohio State WR Noah Brown for a 75-yard score.

Stroud hit Brown in stride and the rest was all Brown. Check it out below:

Stroud kept his strong day going with another TD pass a few minutes later. He hit Tank Dell for the below score, but the ensuing 2-point try was no good.

The Texans trail Tampa 23-22 with a quarter and change to go.

Stroud is 18-of-27 with 298 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.
