CJ Stroud conveniently ignores handshake when introduced on stage as 2022 Heisman finalist

CJ Stroud was one of the 4 Heisman Trophy finalists for the 2022 season.

As per tradition, many former Heisman Trophy winners attended the ceremony in New York Saturday night as well as those 4 finalists. As Stroud was being introduced, he shook the hands of former Heisman winners Mike Garrett and Steve Spurrier.

Desmond Howard, the former Michigan Wolverine Heisman winner in 1991, was next in line. Conveniently, neither Howard nor Stroud seemed like they were considering a handshake.

It’s no secret that there is no love lost between Michigan and Ohio State. The teams won’t even say the other’s name, instead referring to the matchup as The Game. Whether the snub was intentional or not, it is convenient that Stroud’s handshakes ended at a Wolverine.

Stroud finished 3rd in the Heisman Trophy voting, behind Caleb Williams and Max Duggan.
