C.J. Stroud’s NFL future has been talked about relentlessly during the offseason. Peter Schrager of Good Morning Football weighed in on Thursday via “The Joel Klatt Show”.
Schrager stated that what makes this year’s version of the NFL Draft is that picks 2-4 are very unique.
“The interesting thing about this draft is that picks two, three, and four are really unique. Two is just a complete mystery. On paper, you’d say that Houston should just go quarterback, and yet they might not go quarterback. Three is a team that wants to trade back, so you could be throwing this whole thing into flux. Four is a team that really needs a quarterback, but doesn’t necessarily have to because they’ve had an opportunity to get their hands on all these guys and have been thinking about it for 12 months.”
“I’d be shocked if C.J. Stroud was still on the board after 8 picks.”@PSchrags tells @JoelKlatt what the Ohio State QB’s ceiling and basement is in tonight’s NFL Draft ✨🌰 pic.twitter.com/ETns2m78AJ

When it comes to Stroud, Schrager believes that the former Ohio State QB will be taken in the first eight picks.
“So C.J. Stroud. He can go two to Houston and I’ll come on and say kudos to those guys for keeping it close to the vest. He could also slip a little because someone might move up to three to get Richardson. The Colts might have fallen in love with Will Levis. I’ve also heard there are people in the building who really like Anthony Richardson in Indianapolis. I’ll say that I’d be shocked if C.J. Stroud is still on the board after the first eight picks.”
Stroud threw for 8,123 yards passing with 85 touchdowns as a Buckeye. For fans, they’ll have to wait and see where Stroud ends up.
